Ann-Marie Mitroff has worked with Groundwork Hudson Valley since 2004 and became the Coalition Coordinator in 2005. With her Masters in Public Administration, she has over 30 years experience working in water and energy issues for the government and as a private consultant.

Rick Magder established Groundwork Hudson Valley and oversees all of its programs. Mr. Magder has worked on urban environmental issues for more than 15 years and has been a senior manager in nonprofit organizations for more than a decade. He has held positions with the National Audubon Society, the Regional Plan Association, and the Children’s Health Fund. He launched the Saw Mill River Coalition program at Groundwork Hudson Valley in 2001.

Emily has organized hundreds of volunteers to participate in multiple river restoration efforts, led fish studies with high school students, recruited and managed college and high-school age interns, led classes and tours on the Science Barge, and conducted classes at high schools and middle schools. She also coordinates monthly invasive vine-cuttings and trash pick-ups along the Saw Mill River. She received her B.A. in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Environmental Studies & Psychology from Sarah Lawrence College in 2008.

From 1991-1997 Lynn served as the Commissioner of Planning for Westchester County.  Lynn also served as the Director of the Manhasset Bay and Hempstead Harbor Protection Committees, intermunicipal watershed planning organizations. Lynn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), a Trustee of the White Plains Public Library, and Vice-President of the Westchester County Historical Society. She received a B.A. in History from Syracuse University and an M.U.P. in Urban and Regional Planning from New York University and has a Senior Governmental Officials Certification from Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government.

 

Andrew Boyd

Andrew Boyd is a Graduate of Columbia University with a degree in Environmental Sociology.  Inspired by the urban river parks of Kyoto, Japan, Andrew came to the Saw Mill River Coalition to support similar change in his own backyard.  Apart from administrative coordination for the SMRC, Andrew maintains the affiliated stormwatertools.org bulletin board.
